FAQ
Can I use a standard frame?
Our 18×24in prints fit standard 18×24in frames widely available from most frame retailers. Our 24×32in prints are sized to the artwork rather than the frame trade — best suited to our ready-framed option or custom framing, which uses FSC-certified timber with conservation-grade mount board.
What data do you use?
Every print is derived from Environment Agency LIDAR elevation data at 1-metre resolution, published under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Course features come from OpenStreetMap under the Open Database License.
How is the data strip verified?
Each field — established year, par, yardage, architect, course type — is cross-referenced against a minimum of two independent sources: club records, the UK Golf API, architect portfolio pages, and Wikipedia.
What paper do you print on?
310gsm cotton rag with a matte surface. This is the same grade used by fine art galleries and museum print shops.
How long do the prints last?
Our pigment-based inks are rated for 200+ year lightfastness under normal indoor display conditions.
Can I request a course you don't have?
We currently cover 400+ UK and Irish golf courses. If your course isn't listed, contact us at hello@gorwelprintco.com and we will check whether suitable LIDAR data exists.
Do you offer framing?
Framed options are available on all prints. All frames use FSC-certified timber with conservation-grade mount board.
Do you ship internationally?
Free UK shipping on all orders. International delivery available at a flat rate of £8.
